Donald Trump’s relationship with his son, Barron, is a mystery. While the president is seen in public every day, the same can’t be said for Barron. However, Donald has now found himself in hot water, as some claim he forgot his son’s name during a recent outing.
Throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, we have also come to know his closest family members. In addition to his wife, Melania, who has appeared by his side at several major events, their shared son, Barron, has also received significant attention.
And now, the president’s son is once again in the spotlight after his dad, Donald, made a big mistake. It happened during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House. Also present were Melania and their son Barron.

The president continued by describing Melania as “Barron’s parent.” Focusing on Barron, he added, “She has a little boy who’s quite tall. He’s a little boy to us, but he’s quite tall, right? And his great parent. She takes great care of him, thank you.”
It didn’t take long for social media to erupt. Users suggested that Donald was describing his youngest son as mainly his mother’s son, not his own.
“Yes, the distancing is quite strange. Imagine how his son must feel, hearing this,” one X user wrote.
“Nothing screams proud dad on Father’s Day like can’t recall your son’s name,” a second joked, while a third added, “I still can’t believe y’all elected this thing.”
Mixed opinions
However, others defended Trump, with one writing, “Y’all got TDS [‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’]; he is obviously describing his son.”
Another said, “He’s literally making a joke. You’ve got to be kidding.”
“Maybe he’s just giving credit where credit is due,” a third added. “If he took credit, you’d have a problem with that too!”
