Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi from her job as U.S Attorney General. Now, new details about the shocking decision have come to light. It’s been revealed that the day before she got the news, Trump gave her a short but brutal message.
On April 2, President Donald Trump announced that Pam Bondi was stepping down as U.S Attorney General. However, it appears as if she was fired. Trump was reportedly not satisfied with her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and the aftermath.
Also, he felt she didn’t go after his political opponents enough. Trump wrote on Truth Social on April 2 that Pam Bondi would be “transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector,” praising her for her work in his administration. However, he offered no specific reason for why she would be leaving.
“Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900,” the president wrote.
Meanwhile, Pam Bondi also took to social media after the decision had been made, thanking Donald Trump for the opportunity to serve as Attorney General.
Donald Trump’s brutal four-word message to Pam Bondi the day before firing her
“Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history. Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court,” Bondi wrote.
She concluded, “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.”
Pam Bondi served as Attorney General for 14 months. The week before she was fired, she and Trump had a serious argument. It has not been revealed what it was about.
Now, reports about what happened the day before Bondi was let go come to light. According to The Wall Street Journal. Trump informed her on April 1 that he had made the decision to remove her as attorney general.
Trump told her, “I think it’s time,” as they rode together in a car.
Others can be fired
Pam Bondi is the second cabinet official in the Trump administration to be fired. Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was fired a month ago. However, several others in the president’s administration are at risk of being escorted out of the White House.
An official, who has chosen to be anonymous, told The Guardian that Donald Trump is “very angry and he’s going to be moving people”. Those in the firing line are Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, and Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard.
