Several Trump Administration officials have defended the ICE agent, or blasted 37-year-old Alex Pretti after he was killed Saturday. Now, Vice President JD Vance is being blasted online after a controversial tweet, being called a “sick f**k.”

At approximately 9.05 am on Saturday, near Nicolett Avenue in Minneapolis, 37-year-old Alex Pretti was shot and killed by an ICE agent. The fatal shooting happened as agents conducted an enforcement operation in the area, and the reactions afterward have been furious.

While video footage from the scene showed Pretti filming the agents with his phone and then being sprayed with pepper spray and tackled before he was shot. The government says he was armed, but so far, no proof has been shown to the public.

Several Trump administration officials also came to the ICE agent’s defense. White House senior adviser Stephen Miller called Alex Pretti an “assassin,” and several others have branded him a “domestic terrorist.” Now, JD Vance is being blasted for one comment.

After the shooting, Vance wrote a post on X about his recent trip to Minneapolis. However, instead of talking about what happened to Pretti, he shared an anecdote about federal agents being “doxed” at a restaurant

Further, he claimed local authorities were creating “chaos” by not helping immigration enforcement. He suggested this kind of chaos was linked to the violence in the city.

“When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list: A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed,” JD Vance wrote.

“The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they’ve been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid. This is just a taste of what’s happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement.”

He continued, “They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies, and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border. The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.”

“Reprehensible vile liar”

Many people reacted with shock and anger to JD Vance’s words. One social media user wrote that Vance seemed to care more about the federal agents’ lunch than a nurse being “executed” on the street.

“You’re supposed to be the VP for ALL Americans. Not just the Republicans. You are a disgrace,” one user wrote.

“What a liar you are. Gross,” a second added.

A third added, “Another story you made up, you reprehensible vile liar,” while a fourth added, “We don’t believe another word of your lying mouth.”

Another wrote, “The craziest story I heard was when two of your ICE agents unloaded 10 bullets into a VA nurse for no reason. You sick f*ck.”

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrote: “You are defending the open killing of everyday Americans for exercising their Constitutional rights.”
