Here son became a world-famous celebrity, but his mother’s tragic past is worse than you can imagine

Pattie Mallette: Overcoming Struggles to Support Her Son’s Rise

From a young age, Pattie Mallette had a love for the arts. By nine, she appeared on local TV shows like Romper Room and Big Top Talent. However, her early passion was overshadowed by a painful and troubled youth.

At 15, she began dating Jeremy Bieber. By 16, she ran away from home, surviving through theft and drug dealing. “My life was really painful as a child,” Mallette told Cosmopolitan. “I had a love for the arts that I share with Justin, and we kinda bond over that.”

Struggling with trauma and poor mental health, Mallette attempted suicide at 17. She was committed to a mental institution, where she underwent Christian conversion therapy. After her release, she reconnected with Jeremy, and six months later, she discovered she was pregnant.

Justin Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario. Though Mallette and Jeremy tried to stay together, they split shortly after Justin’s birth. Pattie raised him as a single mother, with support from her parents.

Despite her past, Pattie remained a strong and loving parent. She encouraged Justin’s musical talents and entered him in the 2007 Stratford Star talent competition. His performance of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” earned him second place.

Pattie uploaded the video to YouTube, where it quickly gained attention. Her consistent support and promotion of Justin’s music played a crucial role in launching his career and helped shape him into the global star he is today.
