For seven years, I chose the path of secrecy, continuing to star in Spin City while using choreography, blocking, and props to meticulously mask my tremors from the world. It was an era of private adaptation, a hidden struggle where I navigated the pressures of a high-profile career while protecting a truth I wasn’t yet ready to share. In 1998, I finally chose visibility, and by 2000, I founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation to reframe my story from one of concealment to one of collective action.
