Kate MIddleton attended the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. While the Princess of Wales seemed to be in great spirits, laughing and smiling, one detail caught fans’ attention. It has sparked reactions, with one claiming it’s appropriate for a “mature woman” like Kate.
The Royal Family has gone through a challenging time. The disgraced former Prince Andrew was arrested a few weeks ago, and his, as well as ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s, connections to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein have put King Charles and the other royals in a tough place.
They have even decided to ban Andrew’s daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, from several royal events, all to try and keep their distance.
Still, business has to go on as usual. On Monday, as Commonwealth Day was celebrated, the Royal Family members, including Princess Anne, Prince William, and Kate Middleton,
Kate arrived with her husband, both wearing matching navy blue outfits. The future queen seemd to be in a great mood as she and Anne laughed and smiled instead of using their usual royal greeting.
Inside Westminster Abbey, Anne and Kate did not do their usual cheek kiss. They smiled at each other and shared a short laugh. The reason was simple — it was because of their hats.
Kate Middleton’s hairstyle has people talking
Both women wore large, stylish hats to match their outfits for the formal service. Kate wore a bright blue dress with a wide hat. Princess Anne wore an emerald-green outfit and a large hat.
Because the hats were so large, it would have been difficult to greet each other without the hats bumping into each other. In a video of the moment, Anne smiles and leans back a little while greeting Kate. Kate laughs, and then they continue into the service together.
While this charming moment between Kate Middleton and Princess Anne was a charming one, social media users had their minds elsewhere. In fact, the Princess of Wales turned heads with her hair.
“Beautiful hair and smile,” one wrote, while others had opinions about the length of her hair. One even criticized it, saying it was somewhat inappropriate.
“It baffles me really”
“Beautiful but hair far too long for a mature woman,” one user commented.
“We need the secret to flowing locks, especially given the chemo. It baffles me really. Hair was shorter before the sickness, now it overflows?” another person said.
A fourth person was more sceptical, saying, “Not natural. Her hairdresser must be very rich,” one commenter wrote.
No matter what people thought, it is clear that Kate Middleton seems happy to be back to her royal outings after her cancer diagnosis. Hopefully, we’ll see more of her soon.
