Iran issues terrifying assassination threat against Donald Trump

Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran after the country stopped all traffic through the Straight of Hormuz, as global oil prices skyrocketed. Now, Iran has responded with a menacing assassination threat towards the U.S president.

The military conflict in Iran has been ongoing for 10 days. The U.S killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei last week. As the US and Israeli strikes in the Middle Eastern country continued, Iran responded with strikes of its own.

Donald Trump is putting pressure on Iran to end the conflict, but the president has not ruled out sending in U.S ground troops. Meanwhile, the world economy is shaken up by the conflict, not least the oil market.

Iran has announced they have closed the Straight of Hormuz, through which around 20% of the world’s oil passes, the BBC reports. The war in Iran has led to reduced sea traffic, and global oil prices have skyrocketed.

Iran previously stated they would “set fire” to any ships passing through the Straight of Hormuz, and President Donald Trump was having none of it.

Iran issues an assassination threat against Donald Trump

On Truth Social on March 10, the U.S president warned Iran not to further disrupt the shipping route through the Strait, which is the world’s busiest oil shipping channel.

“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen! This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated.”

Now, Iran has responded, and that with a serious assassination threat towards the president. As reported by The Mirror, Ali Ardashir Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, said, “The Ashura nation of Iran is not afraid of your empty threats. Even those greater than you could not eliminate the Iranian nation. Be careful not to be eliminated!

The post was then signed: “Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Tehran, March 19, 1404 – 10 days after the martyrdom of His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.”

This is not the first time a death threat from Iran has been pointed toward Donald Trump. On Wednesday, March 4, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said that an Iranian unit had attempted to assassinate Donald Trump. However, the US military tracked down the group’s leader and killed him.
